Following dental school, Dr. Zaugg was accepted into a very competitive implant fellowship through Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine.
Throughout this fellowship, Dr. Zaugg placed over 100 implants and spent a considerable amount of time restoring existing implants placed by other fellows and residents.
After completing the one-year implant fellowship, Dr. Zaugg moved to Montana where he has continued placing and restoring implants for over 15 years.
Dr. Zaugg is a member of several dental implant associations and each year he attends continuing education courses, workshops, seminars, and trainings focused on implant placement, implant restorations, and new techniques and technology in implant dentistry to make the patient experience even better.
Dr. Zaugg continually researches the latest technology and techniques in implant dentistry and incorporates them into his procedures.
Dr. Zaugg’s passion for dental implants stems from his surgical background of working in the operating room for 13 years before dental school as a surgical technician. It is rewarding for Dr. Zaugg when a patient expresses their happiness when they have their smile back.
